HEAP:

HEAP offices in Buffalo officially opened on Thursday, November 16th. The HEAP outreach has already taken place in Springville. There will also be a HEAP outreach at the Orchard Park Municipal Building at 4295 South Buffalo Street, Orchard Park, on Monday, February 6th, opening at 8 a.m. with interviews from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. To contact HEAP, call (716) 858-1969.


Flu Shots:

Flu shots and Pneumonia shots have already been given at the Town Hall for this year. You will have to make your own arrangements for your flu shot or pneumonia shot.


Food for All:

Food for All will be at the Town Hall on the following dates: February 21st, March 19th, April 16th, May 21st, June 18th, July 16th, and August 2th from 12:30 to 2:30 in the Court Room. For more information, call (716) 882-7705.

Trading Post Food Pantry Dates & Activities:

The Food Pantry will be available at the Trading Post from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the following dates: February 3rd & 17th, March 2nd, 16th & 30th, April 20th, May 4th & 18th, June 8th & 22nd, July 6th & 20th, August 17th, September 7th & 21st, October 5th & 19th, November 2nd & 16th, December 7th & 21st.

The Food Express Truck will be at the Trading Post the third Friday of every month (except December) at 1:30.

Townwide Trash Pickup:

Townwide Fall Trash Pickup has already been done for this Fall. The Spring Trash Pickup is usually held the Monday after Mother's Day. More information to follow when available. If you have any questions, you may contact the Town Clerk's Office at 592-4948 for more information.

Health Insurance:

Univera will be at the Town Hall on Thursday, February 16th from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and on Tuesday, March 6th from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. For more information, contact April at 572-8315.

MVP Insurance will be at the Town Hall on Friday, February 10th; Tuesday, March 13th and April 10 at 10 a.m. and on Tuesday, March 13th at 10 a.m., For more information, call 585-327-5711.

Independent Health will be at the Town Hall on Tuesday, February 28th from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. For more information, contact Sally at 635-3633.

Blue Cross/Blue Shield does not have any dates scheduled at this time at the Town Hall. For more information, contact Raphael at 888-1329.

Blood Drive:

The American Red Cross Blood Drive will be held at the Town Hall on Wednesday, February 15th from 1 - 7 p.m. Please call the American Red Cross at 1-800-RED-CROSS to schedule an appointment. The next Blood Drive will be on Wednesday, March 21st.

Chinese Auctions:

Bertrand Chaffee Hospital Women's Association will be having a Chinese Auction at the Town Hall on Saturday, April 21st. More information will be posted when available.

AARP Driving Course:

The Town of Concord holds AARP Driving Courses throughout the year. You must pre-register. Contact: Denise Ciszak at 592-4946 ext. 10 for additional information. You must register with Denise to attend the course.

2011 Concerts in the Park:

The Town of Concord and Village of Springville sponsor concerts in the Fiddlers Green Park at the corner of Buffalo Street and Franklin Street from June through August. The 2011 series has ended. Will post 2012 schedule when available.

Other Activities:

FREE INCOME TAX PREPARATION! Saturday, February 4, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Town Hall. Sponsored by LOVE, Inc. Call 2-1-1 for an appointment. Make sure to bring: All your W-2s, last year's tax form if you have one, photo ID and your Social Security Number. This is for incomes up to $49,000 with standard deduction.

The Concord American Legion #431 will be having a Superbowl Sunday Chicken B-B-Q on February 5th, 2012 starting at 11 a.m. til sold out. The Legion is located at 109 Zoar Valley Road, Springville. Eat in or Take out Dinners include: Chicken by Krolicks, potatoes, vegetable, roll and dessert. Tickets $9.

The 2nd Annual Winter Walk is scheduled for February 11th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Come preview the future Springville Rail Trail. Register at the Historic Depot SpringCreek Pharmacy located at 227 West Main Street. For more information, visit their website: www.springvilletrail.org

BAD (Basement/Attic Disposal) Auction will be held at St. Aloysius Parish Hall on March 10th with preview at 8:30 a.m. and the auction to start at 10 a.m. St. Aloysius Parish Hall is located at 190 Franklin Street, Springville.
